Volkswagen Press Events Mock-Ups
These concepts graced a proposal for three Volkswagen press events. The events would provide auto journalists an opportunity to test drive new vehicles — and get wined and dined in the process. Using photography supplied by VW, I incorporated icons representing the elements of the concept and experimented with overlapping patterns to create unique textures.
The borders were a fluke that turned into a full-day of exploration. I accidentally filled a pattern with itself and stopped in my tracks at how beautiful my screen looked. It’s a trick that I need to revisit soon.
The original photo of the Touareg is actually set in the desert, but the concept called for a snow-covered setting. As the only designer working on the project, I can also claim credit for the Photoshop work.
