New actors who move to Chicago always buy The Book. It’s an indispensable guide for anyone whose career is based on headshots and auditions.
PerformInk asked for a contemporary update for the seventh edition. We kept the blackletter type for the title to keep the Biblical reference that had always been a part of the brand, but we surrounded it with an image of the city, a modern slab serif for the body copy, and a bright yellow referencing the highlighters actors use to mark up scripts. Nothing was overlooked, including new neighborhood maps and the organization of advertising.
